Yes, you may cancel an event at any time until 7 days before the event date and then you will receive a full refund. If the event is closer then 7 days away, we will deduct costs. Please contact us for the exact details for your specific event.
In the run-up to your event, we will keep you updated on the latest weather reports. We only cancel or re-schedule events in case of thunderstorms or severe storm conditions. This is always done in close communication with you. Bad weather on multi-day charters are no problem. SV the Spirit of Amsterdam has the highest (ocean going) safety classification and will keep you safe and comfortable even in bad weather. The captain may postpone a passage during a charter due to bad weather.
S.V. The Spirit of Amsterdam is outfitted for cruising, so toilet, shower, freezer, kitchen, usb phone chargers and Wifi are all on board an available for use at all times.
Before we set off from the Marina. The captain will give all on board a brief safety instruction. so you will know what to do in case of various things going wrong. We also carry certified life vests and life lines for all on board in case of bad weather.
